Author bio

Ivan Yates is an Irish broadcaster, author, businessman and former politician who represented Fine Gael in the Dáil for Wexford from 1981 to 2002. During his political career, he served as the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry from 1994 to 1997. After leaving politics, he became a prominent media personality and business figure. He lives in Enniscorthy with his wife, Deirdre. Ivan was an early school leaver at 16 years old so since 1976 (50 years) every day has been a school day. He has encountered the most successful people across politics, public administration, sports, arts and industry – this book distils not only his own learnings but theirs as well
