EU Returns & Refunds
As of 19th June 2026, customers within the European Union can now exercise their right to cancel or withdraw their online order more easily with the new European Directive 2023/2673.
This means that buyers will be provided with a visible "withdrawal button" so that they can easily exercise their right to cancel as per the existing 14-day cooling off period.
This new legislation is in addition to, and in accordance to the existing terms of the Return Policy outlined below.
What this means for EU customers
EU customers can now easily request a refund or cancel their online orders directly on their customer account dashboard.
- Simply sign into the account you used to place the order and hit the Request Refund button.

Don’t worry. You can choose to cancel or return your online order for a full refund within 14 days of receiving your order with no fuss.
RETURNS ELIGIBILITY
🏆The order is in excellent, re-saleable condition (that means the item must be unopened, unused and in the original packaging were relevant)

📧 You can now exercise your right to withdraw directly by accessing your account and clicking on the Request refund button or simply fill out the form at the bottom of the page. (updated 19th June 2026)
🔁 EXCHANGES
Exchanges are only available in-stores within the Republic of Ireland subject to the return policy above.
Exchanges are only possible in-stores where the replacement item is of equal or higher value. Any price difference must be paid at the time of exchange.
Exchanges are not possible for any returns that are shipped back to the warehouse at this time. You can always purchase a different item on our website if you prefer and we will simply issue a refund for your original order.
YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL
You can now cancel an online order up to 15 minutes after placing it. Log onto your customer account and click request a refund.
If you request a cancellation after this grace period, there is a chance your order could still be delivered. A member of our team will contact you regardless once we receive your request.
Please note that any costs incurred with return shipping under right to cancel are the sole responsibility of the customer.
⬇️ HOW TO RETURN AN ORDER
Cancel or Return your order up to 14 calendar days after receiving your order with no fuss.
You can do this directly by:
- Going to your account dashboard - log into your customer account dashboard and select the "Request refund" button.
- Filling out the Return Request form at the bottom of this page.
- Click "Submit a request to Withdraw" as seen on the footer menu to access your account dashboard and select the "Request refund" button.
📦GET READY TO RETURN YOUR ORDER
Once we have received your request a member of our team will be in contact with you directly to organise next steps.
Depending on whether you are a resident of the Republic of Ireland, you will be advised to either ship your return to us or drop-off to a designated Bookstation store.

Always ship your return via a Tracked Service and retain your proof of shipment.*
Always include your Order Number in the shipment
*Please note that the customer remains responsible for the cost of return shipping under the terms of cancellation.

💳 REFUNDS
Once your return is received back into our Dublin-based warehouse we will process and refund your order via the original method of payment within 7 business days.
- You will receive a refund confirmation via email once its processed
- Refunds can take a further 10-14 business days for your bank to process. This is subject to the specific timelines of your chosen banking institution.
- Return shipping costs will only be reimbursed where the item received was incorrect or faulty.
- Returns received to our warehouse will be processed for refunds only. Exchanges are not possible at this time.
If an online return has been granted for an in-store return: our staff will process the refund for you at the till-point.
In-store exchanges are only possible where the replacement item is of equal or higher value. Any price difference must be paid at the time of exchange.
⭕ FAULTY OR INCORRECT ITEMS
If you receive any part of your order that is faulty, incorrect or not as described – let us know within 7 days of the delivery so we can get it sorted for you as soon as possible with either a brand new replacement or full refund for the item.

Contact our web team within 7 days of delivery
- Include your order number, a short description of the issue with a clear photo that outlines this.
- We will arrange a brand-new replacement or full refund for the item at zero cost to you.
- If you are requested to return the item to our warehouse, please send via tracked option and retain the receipt. We will reimburse you for any costs incurred to return the item to us.
