In this brand new outing in the Sunday Times bestselling series, perfection requires the ultimate sacrifice.
When the body of Donald Quinland, a beloved husband, father, teacher and writer is found discarded like trash on a dark cobblestoned street, Lieutenant Eve Dallas knows this is no ordinary murder.
Forensic evidence indicating that the killer had medical knowledge has Eve and Peabody investigating the late professor's place of employment. In these exclusive halls, filled with Manhattan's elite doctors and scientists, and God complexes aplenty, it isn't easy to get at the truth.
But in this high-pressure world, where the pursuit of perfection can be deadly, there's no one more perfect than Eve to stop a deranged killer before they can strike again.
