Ireland's best value books. Why pay more?

Same great price online and in-store

Proudly Irish and family-run since 1989

Misery meets Yellowface in this thriller about an author who kidnaps his student and uses her fanfiction to revive his struggling career.

When Lee Black – former golden child of the crime community – opens his writing student’s work-in-progress, he is at first confused, and then, finally, flattered.

It’s fanfiction.

But what Bella has done with Lee’s most famous character is bolder and more subversive than he would ever have dreamed of.

Lee senses an incredible opportunity – he just needs to persuade Bella to come on board. And if she doesn’t agree? Well, there’s always his brother-in-law’s secluded countryside lodge – perfect for a writing retreat. Of sorts
