Proudly Irish and family-run since 1989

An unforgettable debut about the making of a young man and how the hardest truth of all is the one you can't outrun.

Rian has one goal: get away from Dublin.

School is over, adulthood is waiting, and an entire future seems to lie just beyond the summer. Before then there are blurry parties, football rivalries, fragile friendships and a girl who fills his life with possibilities. But beneath it all lies the grief he has never fully faced, a family drifting apart, a night that has left him with a dread he can't shake, and a growing sense that escape may not be the answer he thought it was.

Tender, funny and emotionally astute, Break is a compelling coming-of-age story that speaks directly to the pressures facing young men today and the deep longing for something more. Examining friendship, consent, ambition, family and loss with honesty and compassion, it marks the arrival of a remarkable new literary talent.
